What is the
BEST Men’s Slo-Pitch League in Durham Region?
All games are
played at the 2 diamonds at Kelloryn Park.
All teams play on
Sunday night and each team will play 1 or 2 games during the week on
Mon,Tue,Wed, and the rare Friday. There
are no regular season games on Thursdays or Saturdays
Sunday games are
either 5:00, 6:30, or 8:00 (and sometimes 9:30)
Weekday games are
either 8:00 or 9:30
Why do I need
to photocopy and send a copy of my driver's license
with my registration?
This is for proof
of age and that you are a resident of Durham region.
After sending
in my registration form when will I hear what team has drafted me?
The New Player
draft will take place at the April League Meeting and within a couple of weeks
after that you should be contacted by the team rep who drafted you.
How many
teams are in the League and how many players on each?
There are 12 teams
with each team carrying 15 players.
Can an entire
team join the League?
No, at this time we
are only accepting individual player registrations.
Can my friend
and I register together and be on the same team?
We don’t allowing
“blocking” with friends for our draft.
There is always a chance that a team needing more than 1 player could
randomly draft you and your friend.
The regular season runs from the beginning of May to the beginning
of September with the year-end playoffs occurring in mid-September.
The first tournament (WMSPL tournament) is Friday-Saturday (end of
May) and the second tournament (Year-end playoffs) is Friday-Sunday
(mid-September).
Yes, there is a 2+
rule in the WMSPL meaning that a team is allowed 2 more homeruns then the other
team. If the team which is +2 hits
another homerun then it is considered a out. For all other rules please see
the Constitution and Rules for the WMSPL.
